Jordan K Harmon, LCSW is a DBT Linehan Board of Certification, Board Certified Clinician. He has been practicing for 15 years and specializes in DBT and other contextual behavioral and process based approaches. Working in teams is especially important when dealing with suicide crisis and Jordan is passionate about brining more effectiveness to our work as practioners and agencies as we help our clients, ourselves, and each other prevent and process events of suicide.  

Center For Expanding Compassion is a 501-c3 and a micro to macro social work agency designed to scale up effective processes of healing in our communities. Proceeds from this training will go toward this non-profit and toward scholarships for comprehensive DBT therapy for those that can't afford it. 

Learning objectives: 

1. Participants will build competency around the before, during and after of a suicide crisis

2. Participants will increase awareness of specific ethical standards related to treating and dealing with suicide crisis

3. Participants will consider and compare suicide risk measures that are designed for cultural diversity with those that are not.

4. Participants will begin preliminary assessment and plan for dealing with suicide crisis within their specific agency setting and treatment approach
